Anamaria Marinca bio
Anamaria Martinca is an actor from Romania. She won the British Academy Television Award Best actress for her role in the Channel 4 film Sex Traffic. The actress fluently speaks French, German and English. Her father is the theater professor for one of Romania's finest acting schools. She was awarded the Best Female Actor of the Year 2000 Award at the young Actor Gala Mangalia. In 2008, she was recognized as the 'European Shooting Star' European Shooting Star' by the European Film Promotion Board. She was in 2007 the lead role in the Romanian film 4 luni 3 semaines si2 zile (4 Months, 3 Weeks 3 Weeks, 2 Days), composed by Cristian Mungiu. The film received two awards at Cannes Film Festival (the Cinema Prize of the French National Education System & the FIPRESCI Prize). Youth Without Youth by Francis Ford Coppola was a different film where she starred. In 2008, she played Yasim Anwar in BBC series The Last Enemy. Marinca was a guest in The Romanian drama Boogie as well as Oliver Hirschbiegels Five Minutes of Heaven.
