Kristen Anne Bell is an American actor and singer born in 1980. Bell is a Michigan native who was born and was raised by her parents Lorelei Frygier (a nurse) as well as Tom Bell (a TV news director). Her heritage includes Polish (mother) as well as German, English, Irish, and Scottish (father). Kristen developed a talent for the arts at an early age on stage. She was just 12 when she appeared at her first audition. She was successful and got the role of Raggedy Ann and Andy. Bell was appointed by her mom to become an agent when she was 13 years old. Bell was later chosen for the newspaper advertisements and commercials on TV. She is now also taking classes in acting for herself. Bell was as a guest in Polish Wedding (2000) in 1998 in a role that was not credited to her. Bell studied at Shrine Catholic High School where she participated in the music and drama club. Bell was cast as Dorothy in the school production in The Wizard of Oz. Bell was accepted to New York City for the Tisch School of the Arts for a musical theater course upon graduation. Bell quit the school in 2001 and began playing Becky the character of Tom Sawyer. The same year she appeared in Pootie Tang, but the scene where she appeared was cut. As a result, the credit sequence is all that exists. Bell made her debut in 2002. Bell appeared on The Crucible, a Broadway version of The Crucible with Liam Neeson as well as Angela Bettis.
